Find the best deal, shop local and save your hometown economy. For every $100 spent locally, $68 returns to the local economy, according to The 3/50 Project, a website that promotes stronger local economies through support of independent retailers and the consumers who shop with them.

shopRoundTown and the goRoundTown Network supports The 3/50 Project by helping spread the word about saving our local economies. You can help start the trend of shopping locally. Just start with shopping at three independently owned businesses.

If half the employed population spent $50 each month in locally owned independent businesses, it would generate more than $42.6 billion in revenue. Imagine the positive impact if 3/4 the employed population did that. – the 3/50 project

Start by choosing 3 local independently owned businesses and spend at least $17/month. If you live in Macon, Georgia, you can start by shopping in Downtown Macon. Get the Impulse Card and gain access to great offers and discounts at retail stores, restaurants, entertainment venues and services in Downtown Macon. In Warner Robins, GA, many local businesses can be found online at Yahoo! Local – Warner Robins. Don’t forget to write reviews of your favorite local businesses while you’re there. Merchant Circle features many businesses in Downtown Forsyth that will make it convenient to eat and shop at different locations. Visit Downtown Milledgeville and find more than just antiques. Keep Dublin, Georgia Green and Shop At Home to support Dublin merchants. Find out where to shop in Fort Valley, GA.

So the next time you think about leaving Middle Georgia to shop in Atlanta or at Tanger Outlet Mall, consider saving some gas and support your local communities. Connect with your friends, family members, and colleagues and find out what local businesses they support. If they own a local business, retail store, restaurant or service, then make sure to support them. Compared to chain stores, locally owned businesses recycle a much larger share of their revenue back into the local economy, enriching the whole community.

There are so many shopping resources online. shopRoundtown helps locals find coupon resources from national and local businesses while highlighting local alternatives. shopRoundTown Middle Georgia features local businesses. We understand that people come first and in order for us to help as many people as possible, we have to provide as many resources as possible for them to save and that includes national businesses. We support and promote the local media in order to help promote local businesses in Macon, Warner Robins, Forsyth, Gray, Dublin, Milledgeville and surrounding areas.

Do you know of a local resource not found on shopRoundTown? Interested in advertising on shopRoundTown and/or the goRoundTown network? Please contact us: email shopRoundTown Middle Georgia
